Tony Hartman

Tony Hartman is a musician, educator, and composer based in Murfreesboro, TN. A native of Davenport, IA, Tony earned his Bachelor degrees in Music Education and Spanish from Middle Tennessee State University. He is an active freelance musician as a steel pannist, percussionist, pianist, and drummer. Tony has performed and/or recorded with: Roy “Futureman” Wooten, The Great Barrier Reefs, Nick Carver Band, Tequila Flamenco Group, Salsa del Boro, among many others.

As an educator, Hartman is head director of Steel de Boro, an after school steel drum band for 5th and 6th graders in Murfreesboro. He also serves as Adjunct Professor at Middle Tennessee State University, working with the Salsa Band.

As a composer, Tony is thrilled to have a number of pieces published through Row-Loff Productions! He’s also recently written the music for the world premier of the plays “The Tragedy of Sarah Klein” (2010) and “The Guardian” (2012), produced by The Internet Players.
